The READY, SET, GO! FIRE CHALLENGE teaches children how to prepare and make safe choices in the event of a fire or wildfire. The activities are presented in 10 to 15 minute lessons. They provide the children with the knowledge they need, and best practices, to prepare for and respond to a fire. Proper preparation ahead of time can prevent serious injury and save lives!

- Fun, engaging downloadable Common Core-based activities and animated videos
- Compliments school drills with practical fire safety tools for use at home
Outcomes and Goals:

- Children learn how to stay safe in a fire: fire proof their home including smoke alarms, establishing and practicing escape plans, having a fire safety kit, and getting help.
- Children have an action plan that includes stop-drop-roll and calling 9-1-1.

STEP 2: ACCOMPLISH 5 EASY ACTIVITIES (15 MINUTES EACH)
Please complete and upload one lesson per topic to be eligible for prizes.
Take photos of the completed work. BE CREATIVE in presenting your photos. For example, create a fun arrangement of photos, or a poster with student drawings. Make a collage of student work, photograph it and submit. We’ve added a Rocket Mask for children to color and wear for confidentiality purposes.
