MISSION VIEJO – Visitors to the city’s dog park are now being greeted by a purple puppy sculpture intended to serve as a reminder of the sacrifices of first responders. The city received the stainless steel sculpture from R. Hero, an organization with a goal of educating children about respect, honor, bravery and compassion.

A dalmatian puppy named “R Hero” is the newest addition to the Nebraska Firefighter’s Museum and Educational Center.
On Sat., Nov. 22, 2014 from 10 am until noon the Mission Viejo’s, Friends of the Arts and Cultural Arts Committee will host the dedication and unveiling of “R. Hero” at the La Paws Dog Park, 21500 Felipe Rd, Mission Viejo, Ca 92691.

The Kingsport Fire Department held a press conference and an unveiling of the “R.HERO” sculpture this morning in front of Fire Station 1. The “R. HERO” is a aluminum dalmation sculpture that stands nearly 6-feet tall and was created by the artists Karen and Tony Barone.
